How to set up a Sovos ShipCompliant Sales Channel (BETA) [Step-by-step guide]

To connect Sovos ShipCompliant, first create the Sales Channel connection, and then set up its parameters.


Once the connection is established between the channel and techOMS, you can use its supported features as listed in: techOMS Sales Channels - Master List [Guides List].

NOTE  NOTE : Make sure that you are operating at the correct Vendor/Warehouse beforehand.

I. ONBOARDING REQUIREMENTS


  • Have an active Sovos ShipCompliant account with API access enabled.
  • Obtain your Sovos ShipCompliant credentials (username and password).
  • Obtain the SOAP API URL to be used by techOMS to connect to Sovos ShipCompliant.


II. CREATE THE SALES CHANNEL


To create a Sovos ShipCompliant Sales Channel, follow: How to Create a Sales Channel [Step-by-step guide].


III. CONFIGURE ADDITIONAL PARAMETERS


To configure additional parameters:


  1. Click Channels from the left menu under the Sales Channels section.
  2. Click on the created channel's name.
  3. Use the highlighted areas in the screenshot below and configure the required settings.




SECTIONS


A) QUICK ACTIONS lets you perform additional actions:

  • Health Check: Verifies if the connection is active or not.
  • Sync: Enables manual synchronization as detailed in How to Synchronize data through a Sales Channel [Step-by-step guide].

    • Receive Sales Orders From Channel
      WARNINGWARNING: Only sales order synchronization is supported. No product sync or inventory sync is available. Orders can't be filtered using warehouse mapping.
  • Save: Saves and commits changes.
  • Delete: Deletes the channel connection.



B) VIEW SELECTION allows you to navigate the different tabs:

  • Main settings (default): Configures general and automation behavior using: Main Settings of a Beta Sales Channel [Information].
  • Advanced settings: Sets privacy and system settings.
  • Channel settings: Sets the channel integration parameters listed below.

    Channel Settings (Fields)

    • SOAP API URL: https://your-shipcompliant-soap-endpoint/
      SOAP endpoint used by techOMS to connect to Sovos ShipCompliant.

      NOTE  NOTE : Sovos ShipCompliant is connected to techOMS through SOAP integration and is used as a Sales Channel for order ingestion. Shipment updates are sent automatically after the order is shipped.

       

    • User Name / Password: your-shipcompliant-username / your-shipcompliant-password
      Sovos ShipCompliant credentials used for API authentication through SOAP.
    • Download Orders with the following Fulfillment Status: Committed
      Defines which orders are eligible for download based on the selected Sovos ShipCompliant fulfillment status.
    • Number of days to look back when downloading orders: 1-365
      Optional field that defines how many days back techOMS looks for orders when importing them based on the order PurchaseDate. If populated, this value overrides the original date range received from recurring jobs, emergency jobs, or manual syncs. Leave this field empty to use the date range provided by the job or request.

NOTE  NOTE : Logs may display the original received date range, even when techOMS applies the value configured in Number of days to look back when downloading orders.



C) CONTENT VIEW displays and/or allows editing of the settings in the "View Selection" section.
