When handling Rules, you might need to Import or Export them to save time and avoid human error if these were to be manually cloned.
This article describes how to Import and Export them for that purpose.
WARNING: Take into account that only rules set with priority level (where priority is NOT 0) can be imported, make sure you set priority of the rules before exporting.
To import or export you will have to:
PHASE 1 - EXPORTING RULES
To be able to Import orders somewhere else, you need to Export them first.
1. Click Order Rules under Sales or Purchases according to the case
2. Select the Rules which you intend to export
3. Click Maintenance and select Export
A .YAML type file will be generated and downloaded to your computer.
This file contains the rules you exported and will need to be used for the Import process.
PHASE 2 - IMPORTING RULES
To be able to Import orders, you will have to:
1. Click Order Rules under Sales or Purchases according to the case
2. Click Maintenance and select Import
3. Click on Files and select the YAML origin file
4. Click Import to confirm the action
Once ready, techOMS will show the details of the operation:
