When setting up a DHL Express account, you can configure how you will request pickups.
This can be configured at the Baseline Account level, and triggered by manifesting or at the order level.
This article explains how to:
- Set the Baseline Account Request Pickup mode
- Configure an OMR to trigger the order level pickup request
- Set it manually or verify per order
Follow the steps below according to your operational scenario:
SET THE BASELINE ACCOUNT REQUEST PICKUP MODE
1. Access Maintenance and select Carriers
2. Click the Carrier for which you'll change the setting from the list
3. Click the Accounts tab
4. Click Edit Account
5. Select the mode from Pickup mode being these the options:
- On manifest: Runs pickup at the same time Finalize Manifest is clicked
- On Order (auto): Runs pickup request with each order
- On Order (manual): Runs pickup request if option is selected on order
6. Press Save to apply the changes
SET AN OMR TO TRIGGER THE ORDER LEVEL REQUEST
You can configure OMR rules to enable Order Level Pickup Requests based on your conditions, if you're using On Order (Manual mode).
To do so, follow the instructions in Order Management Rules (OMR) [Step-by-Step Guide] using the Request Pickup Action set as True.
For example, this definition would do so whenever an order has a phone (SKU Description) in it, Request Pickup is automatically assigned to the order:
SET IT MANUALLY OR VERIFY PER ORDER
You can verify if your OMR rule was applied, or apply the setting manually as described below:
1. Find the order through any of the possible ways (after Import Orders, Batches, Order History, etc) as it applies to the case
2. Click the edit button of the order you wish to change
3. Verify/Make the necessary changes in the order (verify or check the option)
4. If checked manually, press Save to apply the changes
