How to Bulk Update AWBs and Container IDs [Step-by-step guide]

When operating your techTMS environment, you might need to mass (bulk) update AWB or Container ID numbers.

NOTE: Make sure that you are operating under the right environment beforehand.

To do it, you will have to:

1. Click Manifests to deploy the options list and select AWB Bulk Change

2. Use the filters and fields accordingly

• Current AWB: Complete with the AWB numbers that you want to target for the update
• Container ID (Optional filter): Select the Sortation Provider from the dropdown
• New AWB: Indicate the Open and Close time for the manifest

The field usage combination is the following:

• Updates AWB with the New AWB ONLY where Current AWB matches
  • Current AWB filled out with the AWB that you intend to replace
  • Container ID Empty
  • New AWB filled out with the value you wish to replace with
• Updates AWB with the New AWB AND Container ID where Current AWB matches
  • Current AWB filled out with the AWB that you intend to replace 
  • Container ID filled out with the new Container ID
  • New AWB filled out with the value you wish to replace with

3. Press Update to apply the changes; if the process is successful the system will show a message displaying the amount of records updated, and if no records were updated or errors occurred, the system will show a different one
